Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 26, 2026
TL;DR
We use privacy-first, cookie-free analytics to understand which content is useful. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no selling your data. We respect Do Not Track headers. Our analytics tool is open-source and self-hosted — nothing is sent to Google Analytics or any third-party tracking platform.
1. What We Collect
Website visitors
- Page URL and referrer
- Browser type and operating system (from User-Agent, not fingerprinted)
- Country (derived from IP, IP itself is not stored)
- Screen size category (mobile/tablet/desktop)
We do not use cookies, local storage, or browser fingerprinting. We respect Do Not Track headers. Our analytics see anonymous pageview counts — not people.
Newsletter subscribers
- Email address (for sending the newsletter)
You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
2. How We Use Data
- To understand which articles and topics are useful
- To send our newsletter to subscribers who opted in
- To improve our content and tools
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties. We do not run ads.
3. Data Storage
Analytics data is stored in a self-hosted PostgreSQL database. Newsletter subscriber data is managed through our email platform provider. We do not store data on third-party analytics platforms like Google Analytics.
4. Third-Party Services
- Netlify — hosting and CDN
- Cloudinary — image hosting
Each has their own privacy policy. We chose providers that align with privacy-first principles.
5. Your Rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Since we collect minimal data and do not fingerprint visitors, there is very little to delete — but you can contact us with any privacy concerns.
6. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
